Bedding for winter

Winter will still be here for another couple of months and we can count on the coldness to stay quite a while longer. Therefore, it is of high importance that we have the right winter bedding to keep warm and cosy at night.
So many of us forget to change our duvets during the winter months. We subsequently endure shivering nights and succumb to multiple layers and mounds of hot water bottles. There really is no need if you purchase the right tog duvet.
As a general rule the higher the number of the tog the warmer it is and duvet togs can range from 4 to 15. So the end of the scale near 15 is your duvets for the winter, and they are really to recommend for these cold months. A 15 tog duvet won’t feel heavy on your body, and will keep you warm even through the inevitable snow.
The tog scale was invented by workers at the Shirley institute in Manchester in the 40′s. It was designed to measure the warmth of many products, not just duvets and the word “tog” came from the commonly used word ˜togs” meaning clothing. [click to continue…]
